Massacred In Totality.

PLF is a sick two-piece grind band from Houston, TX who features ex-members of Knuckle Scraper...this is their Crushing Fury of Bastardization record and it fucking rips...if you need any incentive to download this record, here ya go:

I've Done Unspeakable Things Again.
hardcore band Failures features Will Killingsworth (Orchid, Ampere, Vaccine) and Mark McCoy (Das Oath vocalist) and they basically pick up where Das Oath left off....fast songs, disjointed riffs, and McCoy's signature high-pitched screams....if you are a Das Oath fan and miss them, this will fill the void

Assholier Than Thou.
"Get ready to defend yourself in a court of law against noise violations. The Catalyst forgot where the volume knob was and decided that destroying sound systems was fun. Swallow Your Teeth is one the loudest albums you’ll ever want to hear. Everything is delivered at ear-splitting levels. The vocals are screamed. The guitars shred through chords and riffs with distorted brilliance. Everything goes right here." - Garrett Lyons, Verbicide Magazine

The Prodigal Son Brings Death.
as you may or may not recall, I posted that I went to a Mind Eraser/Iron Lung show a few weeks ago, and both bands were fantastic... well, if you never heard Mind Eraser and were curious, then here is their newest release...this is a 10-song vicious-hardcore-meets-powerviolence-meets-dark-sludge record that needs to be heard

...This Is Turbo Speed Violence.
Pissing Uphill.
Cut. Down. Ripped. Apart.
"Six songs of brutal, destructive hardcore from Soul Swallower, the latest in a line of great Boston hardcore bands pushing the limits of mental delusions and disillusionment. Comparable to modern bands such as Lack Of Interest and Cold Sweat and their brother band Mind Eraser, and for fans of classic bands such as Citizens Arrest, Napalm Death and Youth Of Today. Not for the weak."
Boston hardcore band Soul Swallower's only release (that I'm aware of) was a 6-song EP of dark, angry, dirty, and heavy-as-fuck hardcore...I have no idea if this band still exists anymore, but I hope they do and start doing shit real soon

Precambrian.
Germany's The Ocean are an experimental metal band... and I'm not talking "they play kinda weird stuff" experimental, I mean they incorporate string instruments and various other elements that you wouldn't normally hear in a metal band, and they do it very well... I saw them live last year with Kylesa and Lair of the Minotaur, and they blew me away... big, thick sound with very interesting riffs... definitely a challenging listen, but well worth it

Flower of Disease.
Goatsnake are a doom/sludge metal band from Los Angeles. They broke up in 2001. Very bluesy, riff-driven doom that is all around enjoyable. If for whatever reason you've slept on this band, here's an opportunity to find out what you've been missing. Such a good record.

Bars.
"Featuring the screams of Kevin Baker (Hope Conspiracy), the guitars of Tim Cossar (Give Up the Ghost), and the maniac that is Jarrod Alexander (Suicide File) along with a couple of other hardcore guys filling up the other guitar and bass, Bars are a hardcore heavyweight that the world has never seen before." Punknews.org
Bars was an unfortunately short-lived band from Boston. They rock. Listen, you won't be disappointed.
