I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet, but unless they completely changed their style, I would expect nothing short of a very fast, very heavy, very pissed off record
if you've never heard of 65daysofstatic, think of the sound that bands like Mono and Red Sparowes play with a heavy dose of electronics behind it...good stuff
Out of all the bad bands Trustkill Records have signed over the past like 8 years or so, Open Hand from California is one of the very few diamonds in the rough... bringing together indie rock, southern rock, and catchy pop sensibility makes Open Hand a very enjoyable listen
Their pedigree is not to be fucked with, with members of Iron Lung, Cold Sweat, Negative Step, and Society of Friends in their ranks. Walls is a great mix of hardcore punk and noise rock, with angrily shouted vocals. Here is their self-titled 7".

I will sorely miss Isis. In case you missed it, they posted on their blog a few weeks ago that after a few shows, they're calling it a day. Even though they left a good chunk of their fans behind with Panopticon and In the Absence of Truth, Wavering Radiant is where they lost me (even though Alan included it in his top albums of 2009 list). Even still, they were one of the great bands of this generation and extremely influential. IMO, these are their three best releases:
