Progression Through Unlearning.

Snapcase were a hardcore band out of Buffalo, NY... before breaking up in 2005, Snapcase had a rather unique style of playing hardcore that is very hard to describe in words... this record was released in 1997, but it still sounds fresh and different... they are apparently reuniting to tour Germany, so here's hoping they end up reuniting for more than that

you've probably heard the song Possum Kingdom before, the "DO YOU WANNA DIE?!?" song that was popular in the 90s and still gets radio play on rock stations to this day... here is the record that was on, which was released back in 1994... if you want to write the Toadies off as "one hit wonders," you'll be making a mistake... this album is full of heavy rock songs with really dark subject matter... if you ever wondered what the Toadies sounded like besides Possum Kingdom but never got around to doing so, here's your chance

Brutal Truth formed as a side project of Anthrax and Nuclear Assault bassist Dan Lilker back in 1990, but they ended up being one of the most influential grind bands to ever exist... this record is widely considered their best one, but you really can't go wrong with anything they've put out in their career, pre- or post-break up... classic stuff

Destroy the Machines.

Earth Crisis are metallic hardcore from Syracuse, NY... the band that got me into hardcore... this band is pretty polarizing, either you love them or hate them... at one time, they led the militant straight edge movement in hardcore in the 90s... I've never been straight edge, vegetarian, or vegan in my life, and I probably never will be because I love booze and meat too much, but this band opened the door for me to the hardcore scene
